This tractor was custom built for the special purpose of tending vineyards in the grape growing area of central California. It is believed that 300 of these tractors were actually built by the Ford Motor Company.

Most of these tractors were fabricated by specialty machine shops in the central California area. A section of the front axle and rear axle housings were removed and the tractor then narrowed 12 inches, and reconstructed.

The narrow profile of the converted tractor allowed it to be used in much tighter working conditions than it was originally designed.
