This is the oldest known production Ford Tractor model 8-N known to exist. All casting numbers coincide with the serial number verifying this tractor to be authentic. With this low serial number it was probably built within the first couple of days of production in July of 1947.
By the end of production in 1952 there were 524076 model 8-N Ford tractors built.
This tractor was located in Fort Ripley Minnesota and was purchased and brought to Monroe Michigan for restoration in 2003.
When I decided to restore this tractor I was also trying to determine where the tractor could be best preserved and placed on permanent display.
I am presently interviewing institutions where it can be displayed. When and if, a proper facility is found it will be donated to that institution.
